Kia’s Dynamax AWD (all-wheel drive) system uses sensors and a control unit to monitor road conditions and distribute power to all four wheels rather than just the front (FWD) or rear (RWD) wheels. This improves your car’s traction and performance.
When the Kia AWD system detects a loss of traction, it sends more torque to the rear wheels. It can also automatically distribute torque to the front and rear wheels to help maintain stability. Full-time AWD systems power all four wheels at the same time. Part-time AWD delivers power to all four tires only when it’s required.

AWD is available on multiple midsize Kia Sorento trims. The X-Line, the X-Line EX, the X-Line SX Prestige, and the X-Pro SX Prestige all come with standard all-wheel drive. Hybrid and PHEV versions of the Sorento are also available.
